Brooms on the Brazos
Every year BQA hosts a home tournament for official United States Quidditch (USQ) teams in the southwest region on the Baylor Sciences Building (BSB) fields at Baylor University.
Southwest Regionals
On the road to competing on a national level, BQA has to qualify with the region. Qualification happens through a two day competition that takes place during the Spring semester.
Practices
Every Tuesday and Thursday, members have the opportunity to not only hone their skills, but also to become a better team player. Here they will learn skills for quidditch and for the game of life.
Covid Season
Although Covid-19 had a major impact on the regulations at practices and effected virtually every aspect of how we play and who we play, our players were resilient and managed to improve themselves greatly despite all of the setbacks.
BQA Community
The community that BQA strives to maintain is one where every member feels like they have a place here, and they do! Through quidditch, people form relationships that will last a lifetime.
House Games
Another thing that BQA does is House Games. When each person joins quidditch, they join one of the four Hogwarts Houses, and during House Games the different houses compete in quidditch matches in an attempt to win the most House Points and the esteemed House Cup.
Banquet
At the end of every year there is a banquet to honor the members, especially the seniors. This banquet allows everyone to say goodbye and to prepare for the upcoming year.
